Well, if you know the right people, getting the red plate is not hard. If you want a permanent one, just open up a car related business and you can apply for up to 2 red plates. Most rich ppl does that. Red plates are only for the ppl that have left hand drive cars or ppl that wants to skip the import tax (which is close to 100%).
But then, some ppl in HK are so rich that they pay tax on their CLK DTM and Zondas. I think the Zonda comes to around US$1.5M with tax. Saw a guy the other day letting the hotel valet drive and park his Zonda...
Being this a Porsche forum, there are a few 997 GT3RS in HK already...I know at least a green and orange...
