I've never seen the point of people running from their wrecked cars.

Fingerprints and/or license plates will always follow you

I guess you can always claim the car was stolen. Your fingerprints are BOUND to be on your own vehicle so that doesn't really tie you to the crime. With a good alibi it would be tough to place you at the scene of the accident.

Not that I condone any of this. Neither do I appreciate smoking in a Ferrari or any vehicle for that matter, but each to his own. Respect the car.

Hard to say. You might ask the Senior Senator from the State of Massachusetts. I think the point usually is to sober up enough to pass a Breathalyzer before meeting with the police . . .

I am confused as well. Why would you run from the scene of the crime when it's your own registered car and there's bound to be evidence that you were in a rally. I mean, those insurance guys don't write a $200K+ check without doing their own PI stuff.

Yeah, but then you're kind of screwed since it'll be reported stolen after it's already wrecked

True, but somewhere I'm sure they would get someone else's prints. And if they don't find someone else's, again, the driver is pretty much screwed.

Hey, this goes back to my belief that wealth sometimes can't buy common sense. Which sometimes makes me wonder how they get that wealthy to begin with!
