Still amazed that people don't at least carry a fire extinguisher, much less a fire system.

If you catch it soon, and unless one is a completely oblivious idiot, they should, it's entirely worth saving IMO. You'll notice and smell smoke a good deal of time before structural and engine parts start to cook.

Hence the point of a fire system. The second you detect something you can yank the handle, even while driving.

I am with lucent. Let the damn thing burn because shooting an extinguisher will potentially do things to the motor and electrical. That is why we have insurance. None the less luckily no one was injured.

that car being in the philippines, i'm just not sure if it's insured, it's not required to begin with, and i'm not sure if there are insurance companies that cover those types of exotics down there. The guy might be S.O.L.

They really should sell the F430 in charred black from the factory so it wouldn't be as noticable when your new fcar goes up in flames
