SAFE ANIMAL SHELTER AUCTION OCT. 18 AT EAGLE HARBOR

High Bidders will take home some great items and help raise funds for many of the community’s homeless animals on Saturday, October 18th, when they participate in the Safe Animal Shelter’s 16th Annual Auction and Dinner. This annual event will take place at the Eagle Harbor Swim Park to benefit the no kill/not-for-profit facility. Safe Animal Shelter (www.safeanimalshelter.com) is located at 2913 County Road 220, just west of Knight Boxx Rd. intersection in Clay County.
A silent auction and dinner provided by Longhorn Steakhouse will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the live auction will follow at 8 p.m. Live entertainment will be provided by “Random Act,” presented by A Unique Entertainment, Inc.
Items donated for the auction thus far include golf outings, spa treatments, pet care, theater and restaurant certificates, plus much, much more! Advance dinner reservations may be purchased for $30.00 and no tickets will be sold at the door.
Readers who wish to donate items for the auction and/or purchase tickets may do so by contacting Chairperson Stacey Schomburger at 894-6249 (days) or 213-8841 (evenings) or Co-Chairperson Patti O’Brien at (631) 965-6168 (days) or 644-7778 (evenings).
The Safe Animal Shelter’s mission is to provide a temporary place for homeless, abandoned, and abused cats and dogs in the Clay County area until a good permanent home can be found. Over the year, the Shelter has placed over 9000 animals into loving homes .
