vinyl car wraps in FL

anyone have positive experiences with places in florida?

im considering doing a vinyl wrap on my car.......it costs about 1/2 of what a decent paintjob costs, and requires a lot less upkeep. not to mention if i pay for an expensive paintjob i will always drive in fear of all the chips and scratches it eventually gets......a few years down the road if the wrap is not looking great i can just rip it off and put on a new one (and change color if i want!) and probably still be under the cost of the single paintjob.

i know the matte black look has been overdone in the supercar/showcar world lately, but out on the actual streets on a daily basis i very rarely see any, so thats what ill probably get.

Got any pictures of what you are talking about? I have seen some areas but not an entire car covered in wrap to change the paint color.

That is actually pretty cool. Please tell me if you find someone in FL that does this and what the charge might be. I may consider this down the road.

This place is right in front of my office -- http://pinnaclesignworks.com/

they can do the vehicle wraps, i see them putting them on frequently

i was quoted $2300-2400 to do a car about a month ago -- that includes all the design work, vinyl and installation -- give them a shout to get a quote at least -- just north of Orlando.

how long do these vinyl wraps last? is there any upkeep work that would have to be done? does it ruin the original paint at all? how is it when it comes to washing the car? do scratches and niks from rocks show up?

sorry for all the questions but very interested

.... i'll be down in the Bradenton, fl area for feb and march and might consider getting this done if it seems right
