All I can say to that house that you just posted up is wow... That is truely motivation to become financially sucessful in life.

Your house is truely a work of art as well. I really like the mix of traditional with a modern touch to some of the interior. Where is the glass bridge going in the home?

Yes being surrounded by these types of homes does motivate one. I really love this house as well, just a bit different in styling, our area does not allow modern homes so that drove us the direction we went.

The glass bridge goes throught the center of the turret where the spiral stairs are.

I love the interior shots. Now that it's all coming together, it looks fantastic. The mix of light and dark is really nice, and the detail work is impressive.

Well, I just finished reading this thread. I had to read it over 2 days since I am reading this at my office. No time to read online at home with 2 kids (1 and 3).

I have to say, it has been very educational reading this thread. First, let me say that I applaud your success, both with this house and your career. I would have to say that you are the very definition of the American dream. The house is monumental. Legendary. I realize that you have put together ideas that you have seen elsewhere, but, you still managed to put it together in a cohesive, flowing manner. None of the elements that you have put into your home seem to clash.

What you've done is quite inspirational. I'm afraid to show this to my wife. Might give her ideas. Some day though...

Kudos, well done and all that.

Just got word from the artist who is making the glass for the bridge that he had a computer failure that affects his kiln temperatures. He said he will be delayed about a month! Bummed we thought we would have the install done next week.

funny story about vision: if I have told it before in the past fourty pages slap me

I was explaing to the mexican speaking siding crew what I wanted to do with the reclaimed siding. He could not understand why I would want to take this old pile of wood and put it on my brand new house.
I told him he needed to have vision, but it did not translate to spanish.
So I told him he had to be able to look into the future, he just shook his head and called me a loco gringo.
In one of the more gratifing moments of the build, he came back to see me a few weeks later and said, "now I have vision" He loved what his work had turned out to look like, and so do I!

"mexican speaking" What a funny way to say it.

Gorgeous house sir; really a work of art. Can't wait to see pictures of the finished kitchen.
