I have an idea for plates:
OFF TPC

I'm surprised that there is no Lotus section as well, but this must be the least appropriate spot for this post. I don't have a better idea, other than add some posts actually showing your garage or this car in your garage, or something tangentially related to garages.

Admin want to move it?
In truth I may have posted this late on a weary first night of owning it and as on another car forum the "garage" thread was refering to the contents of the garage, not the garage itself.

Congrats,
The main Lotus/Elise forum is www.lotustalk.com.
I have had mine for a little over a year and love it. You will get all kinds of stupid who makes Lotus and does it cost 150k questions but whatever. I see the car as more of a track/canyon car then anything, It kills your back, has crappy AC and the radio is not worth mentioning. What you do get is wonderful handling and a good power to weight at a relatively low price. I have a few friends with the funds to support their high-end cars and after a track day one purchased a used Elise as his beater car and the other guys are looking into it. The only big downside is the aluminum and fiberglass, Lots of these cars have been totaled from minor accidents. If the frame gets tweaked at all it is over and can not be fixed. The fiberglass bodies brake from slight fender benders and that is when the words cheap and Lotus part paths. All that may sound negative but I can say this is the closest thing to a go-kart have ever driven and have enjoyed every minute of ownership.

thanks wildcj5 geart write up....ya mine would be strictly for fun in the sun use and no DD. I have always liked the looks and the attention this gets. Ive been looking to expand the stable with some new toys and just saw this little car and was in awe of its design and power to weight ratio. Okay now its time to start the search =)
