I think it would help if you first defined what "cheap" is and what kind you are looking for (metal, wood, etc.) then I'm sure you can find an answer

The cheapest of all is to look for someone doing a kitchen renovation and see if you can score their tear out cabinets. Next after that is to make some with simple plywood construction. Next after that is IKEA. I chose the IKEA route. I'll post some pictures next week when it's finished/

I picked up the basic white cabinets at Lowes for my garage. Nice thing about white, is you can paint them to match whatever color theme you are using the the garage. For a few hundred bucks, they came out pretty decent. I will be adding some more once I get things organized a little better.

Got mine at Sears, I think it's the Ulti-mate brand. Very happy with them.

I started with a new garage, considered options, went to IKEA and here it is. The IKEA stuff was quite flexible in the choices for optional cabinet space organizing. We ski in the winter, fish most of the year, ride most of the year (today included) and hike most of the year.

Nicely done as they look great. Did you install them? Did they come in other colors? Finally, if you don't mind me asking, how much approx. were they? Thanks.

Thanks. There is a wide variety of colours and door options. One of the best features for me were the interior options for hanging racks, shelves and drawers (PM me for pictures of the interiors). They took about 3 days to build and install (I'm no carpenter) and were about $2500. The longest wall is 4 meters and maximum height is 8 feet.

My recently finished garage

I was about to pull the trigger on a $2800 set of nice stainless Ikea kitchen cabinets for the garage, but ended up getting this whole white cabinet set from Home Depot for $955 + tax. Each cabinet took me an hour or two to build by myself.

They look great, especially for under a grand. I'm psyched because a handyman/carpenter we've used for years just scored tons of this beautiful bamboo wood and just gave it all to me for cabinets in the garage. He'll just charge me labor, etc. to construct it all. Not a bad deal.

WOW! All those cabinets were $955? Were they in a catalog for HD? I am definitely going to check that out.

It's a bit hard to find, but they have them listed on the HD website. However the website states that they are only sold in the stores. I had to go to two different HD's to buy everything because neither one had everything I wanted in stock.

I needed some stuff for the house I am living in this year and found a lot of great things on Craigslist. Not sure which part of CO you are in but Boulder had a lot of cabinet listings as of late August.

Good luck on your search,
Brendan
