The project has really progressed since my last post so I will be sure to update the pictures. I have attached some pictures of the Copper work that I have been doing.

The structural concrete walls are coming along. It has taken over 1 year worth of site work to get to this point but I am finally starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.


I am trying to figure out the best solution for light fixtures in the garage.

This is turning out great! Loving the updates.

 

Yes those radiant manifolds on the wall are for the two garages and basement. I have a 3-ton geothermal unit to keep them warm. By spacing the radiant tubes 8" apart not 12" I will be able to heat the rooms with 89 degree water not 112.


My walls to the garage entrance are coming along. The weather is starting to get cold here sooner then I would like so I hoping to have it completed in the next two weeks.

 

The block wall is finally done and the pool is being rebuilt this week. I will update those pictures soon. I have the garage sheetrock being installed and then finally I can install the garage doors and opener. I had the home automation guy run CAT6 to the openers so that we can open and close them via the central home automation app.


We are going to program the system so that when the garage doors are opened at night the lights in the garage and interior kitchen area and outdoor soffit lights also turn on.

 

This is really coming along very nicely. When the expected move in date? Also how did you shoot that first picture?

 

I took the picture from the top of a massive loam pile that I have in the yard. I am going to need a drone for the next ones. : )

This is the 1st level garage. It is primed and painted white. I left the lower 4' unpainted because we are going to install Grey FRP Board on it and then aluminum diamond plate along the lower edge. I setup the garage with Rapid Air fittings and tube in the walls.


I wish that I had not listened to the electrician an put fluoresces lights in the ceiling an only the can lights. The can light has an awesome light (Nicor LED dlr56 3000k)

 

The garage doors are finally on. I had the garage door tracks powder coated matte black and fabricated custom stainless steel door supports instead of galvanized stiffeners. The openers are the Liftmaster 8500 Jackshaft openers are really quiet.


I also fabricated stainless steel support brackets at the end of the tracks instead of the small angle iron ones.

 

I built a copper chimney cap with a hinged top section after looking around. I wanted the ability to clean the flues. The disappointment is that the stone mason did not have the weather to finish the stone work outside the house now that it is really cold. He has been inside for the past month so we will have to wait till spring. I however still wanted to install my chimney cap.


I was lucky to have my dad help me make it. It took about 1.5days and the install could not have been tighter to the incoming snow.
