I am considering getting T5 High Output lights for my garage.

Anybody here installed T5 HO in their garage? My concern is heat. I am told it generates more heat compared to T8 and i dont want to end up roasted while working on the car

I got them for my neighbors garage, he loves them. He can practice surgery when he is not tinkering. Heat is not an issue......

I also like T5's....I have them with 5200k bulbs and the light is very similar to outdoor spectrum. They can be a bit noisy...not the ballasts but the expansion and contraction of the housings as the lamps heat up.

Here are some of the fixtures I've used in my own garage....
