my norwegian garage

Im new to this forum and I have seen lots of interesting garage types, now here is my contribution. It is not fully done yet, I still have to do the interior walls and floor cowering etc. I just ordered a floor tile system which will arrive in a few weeks but I have still not decided on the walls..

Very ghetto way of trying to understand how the new building will fit into the surroundings.

This is the old one parkingspace garage I used to have, however that was demolished in order to put the new one there instaid.

The concrete is about to be poured

And here we are. I was at work when the concrete was poured and I had told a family member to make sure it didnt dry too quickly, but it did Doesnt show in the pics though..

The prelude is my pride and joy right now and the white car is a toyota starlet, it is very good when it is snowing and so on.

The photo uploader has problems. Most people host on Photobucket or whatnot instead and just link to it, or do in-line photos. What car is that in your avatar? It looks like a Prelude but I don't think that's right...I'm curious.

Yeah its a prelude, not mine though, mine is alot more stock right now, but the one on the picture is really nice, probably how I would have done up my car if I really wanted to. Hey thaks for that photobucket idea it helped out alot.

I am very happy with the larger outside parkingsone that I was able to free up as I had the entire lot resurfaced, I used to park either car in the road when I was driving the other one.

Remember how much vegitation used to be here?

The bricks from my old driveway.

The new garage delivered in an IKEA kind of a way.

A friend of mine helped me with the studs and roof structure, but after that I basically did everything on my own.

Kind of funny but I never use the door that I later fitted there, it was roughly 1000$

My next project will probably be fixing up that basement.

Winter came early so I had to cover the garageopening with plastic.

Many months later, happy to be done with the painting

Look we even have some nice weather

Pretty much done outside, but I need to figure out what kind of exteriorlighting I want, and the house number needs a good location too. Stay tuned for my floor.

The rails on the roof are there to prevent the snow from sliding down from it. They are an 2007 addition, didnt have them last vinter ( and I had to use the showel alot )

Here is my new floor Kudos to that porschescott guy or whatever his nick is for showing off his mighty garage on clubphoto.com ( not working anymore) I got inspiration for my floor from that.

As you can see the surface on these tiles are full of holes and I am a bit anxious to see how well that will work then the weather gets a bit more damp and dirty, but I think it will do just fine, at least I wont be stepping into huge water pits in my garage, and Im guessing that the interior of the cars will be kept cleaner without all the sand storing up on the floor.
