Too bad they're not local or I would have had them install the product as well. Speaking of local, you guys going to start a shop in the SF Bay Area?

As for the AP exhaust I love it! Donno if I can feel that 5+ hp gain though

I have written up a little something for those that are interested:
First Impressions:
The first thing I noticed before I even started was that the AP exhaust is bigger (but much lighter, I had to carry my old exhaust back, and boy those were bricks!) than the stock exhaust. The bigger AP exhaust means the rear black plastic wheel well fender panels between the exhaust and the wheel could not be reinstalled.
Fine by me since I never look down there and it actually does not affect the performance or the aerodynamics of the vehicle. Plus now I finally understand why they polished the mufflers because from the wheel well you can kind of see them. It is nice they are polished.
Starting the car:
When I turned on the car, instead of sounding like a Honda (so hearing nothing except the engine), there was a deep tone/growl when the car started up.
At low RPM the exhaust has a low rumble/growl that sounds fantastic (but may get annoying). However, with the windows up I can't really hear the exhaust anymore. At highway cruising speeds I can't tell the difference between my stock and the AP exhaust, until I hit the gas.
The AP exhaust does not have the Lambo, Ferrari exhaust howl, but I personally like the deep note better.

The Sound:
AP actually has a pretty accurate exhaust sound on their site, it's the one where the car accelerates away from a stop. If you turn your sound up, you can definitely hear the deep growl I was talking about. It is deeper on low rpms though than my computer speakers made it.
Vs. Fabspeed:
One of my friend has a Fabspeed exhaust installed on his 2000 C4 Cab. The best way I can describe the exhaust is it sounds similar to the stock e46 M3. Very metallic at high full throttle but not much low end tone. Given, I haven't heard his exhaust for about 3 months so this may not be a fair 1-on-1 comparison.

I was told though the AP exhaust is not as loud as the Fabspeed. Since I already think the AP exhaust is more than loud/aggressive enough for me, I am glad I did not get the Fabspeed.
Extra Horsepower:
I did not buy the exhaust for the claimed hp gain but wanted to see if I can feel it anyways during my drive back on the highway from the dealer. I did not notice my car going any faster or accelerating any quicker, but sounded great.
Hope this helps.

Wow, I never once said that you were the sales person I spoke with but by your snappy response I can tell I made the right decision by pruchasing from a different company. End of story !
Thanks for the product review!
As far as my response. Sorry this is the internet, typing has no emotion. I was inferring that I did not know what your issue was cause I did not speak to you. I will use more smiley faces next time.

I looked at my friend's 99 C4 this past weekend and I could see the mufflers as well.
I have not heard back from the dealer yet, my guess is there probably was never that part.
Next Steps:
I did a bit of research when I was figuring out what I want and decided to aim for the lowest hanging fruit. Exhaust, intake, and computer ECU flash is the easiest upgrade to make to get the most improvement in performance.
I went for AP exhaust because it is rated at a higher hp output than Fabspeed, though honestly really is the preference, since most aftermarket feel flowing exhaust is about the same and the only difference is the sound/note. Some people like Tubi but it was more $$ than I want to spend. I like the deeper exhaust note of the AP.
I got the Evo intake b/c there were many people having problems with the K&N intakes that were affecting their MAS (mass airflow sensor). I decided not to mess with that and got a better one.
You won't notice the difference much in the upgrade until you get the ECU flash. The whole purpose of the ECU flash is to retune your whole engine to perform with a bigger intake and free flowing exhaust.
For my car with the e-gas I noticed my car was much more responsive, and felt quicker. Supposely with these 3 upgrades it gives me +25-30hp at the crank.
Cost: $695 for the AP exhaust on special + installation, $595 for the intake + installation, +$995 for the ECU upgrade.

Good points. I disagree with you on the intake though. The EVO has many problems as well. Nobody talks about them cause that intake is old news. The K&N has sold over 300pieces, and i think out of that 30 cars had issues or less. Not bad in my eyes.
What matters in the end that you are happy with the product i got you!
