EVO Silicon Boost Kit - price reduction

Hey fellow 6speeders, I’m going to keep this post pretty brief and to the point but as of today, ImagineAuto.com together with Sharkwerks.com is now happy to offer the EVO Silicon boost hose kit, available in red or black, for $694 without the F-hose and $795 with the F-hose. Both colors are readily available in good supply so there is no need for a group buy to keep the costs down. EVO’s Silicone Boost hose kit was first introduced in the summer of 2004, obviously some time has passed since then and with close to 400 sets already on out there on different 996TTs and GT2s, we’ve been really pleased with the by now proven results. To date we’ve not seen/heard of anyone having popped an EVO hose and that was reflected at the Excellence Shoot Out where 8 or of the 9 participants/tuners actually used the hose kit. Prior to these being available my car, Stephen’s and Todd’s consistently blew hoses out of the inter coolers when running in excess of 500hp- this was/is an more common problem with 2001 996TT’s. The stamped aluminum end is not able to hold increased boost pressure and once it starts to come out it’s not really designed to be “secure” again- the edge gets ruined. The OEM design was slightly improved by 2002 but it’s still proved to be problematic. Nowadays the power levels we’re getting from all kinds of different tuners improved boost hoses and ends do come in handy. The F-hose has been known to split as well (I’m far from being the only one to have had the pleasure of doing so) and if you’re going through the trouble of changing out your DV’s then this is a good piece to consider. This is not an HP mod but more of a preventative measure if you are indeed running some type of software/tuning kit on your TT or GT2 then you will not get boost leaks from the usual locations with these.

To order a set in either color just drop either myself alex@sharkwerks.com or Stephen porschephd@imagineauto.com an Email or PM. For the California guys worried about visual smog it’s certainly a better idea to use the black hoses, which don’t send off any signals.
