"Market Value" for used 07 GT3 RS
"Market Value" for used 07 GT3 RS
Hello:
I have been trying to trade my black RS for an orange RS (preferably new). At this point I have located a local new orange RS (with more extras than I need) at a dealer however we are somewhat apart on $$$ primarily due to the trade in allowance.
My 07 with 75 miles has PCCB, xenons, full leather, sport chrono w/o PCM, and floor mats. It is still has covering/plastic on the roof, fenders, doors, seats, door sills, ...
I have heard used RS' are going for as much as $35K over MSRP - I like some feedback on real sales numbers.
I know I'm running put of time, but I it is hard to pay an additional $20-25K+ just for an orange car with few more unneccessary option.
Thanks,

I have done some serious research to get a real answer your question. It seems that a low mile (under 1000) orange car will trade on average at $17000 above window right now. I find that most dealers are willing to pay about $10000 over for desirable colors and equipment. Though the general consensus from all the brokers and dealers I have spoken with feel the car will be trading at MSRP by the new year. As miles creep up (over 3000) the prices will fall below MSRP sharply. Plus they feel the frenzy is somewhat over. Those who wanted the car now have it and it will now start to trade more like a "normal" desireable car. One more thing, do not confuse asking prices with transaction prices. I think you will find transactional numbers to be far more conservative than you think. Lets remember if you have $140000 to spend (which there are few) you have alot of choice, so we are talking about a small market here.

I know the Orange car of which you speak.(tight parking at that dealership!) Offered me that car at $20k+MSRP three weeks ago- I say offer $15k. It's highly optioned which limits the 'overage' room. I think the price for Blk is stronger than orange. PM me on your Blk if you move forward.

Thanks for the insight
Globalm3 - If the individual who has two orange cars is located in California please send me a PM (I can't send a PM because I don't have enough posts)

Hello Globalm3:
At this point I am only considering Ca cars - If nothing becomes available I would then consider cars in neighboring states.
Thanks,
BTW: Are the $45K+ over MSRP being paid for new RS(s) only on the west coast.

I can't answer your question other than to say it won't be long before you can buy an RS below MSRP.
Why?
