New GT2 Seats

I sat in them at Rennsport Reunion. Seems like there will be 2 different versions. W/Alcantara and W/o. My comments. From a design perspective, very cool.

Carbon backs, Cool Strap (like the ones on old RS door handles) as the pull to release the seat back, and drilled out seat brackets.

Functionally, probably the best thing is the weight savings. The Porshce guys said they are about 1/2 the weight as the existing RS seats, so that should be about 50 Lbs total savings? They fit me well (170lbs, 5'9"). I will say this the bolsters are slightly (almost hardly noticable) tighter than the existing RS seats. I think you could totally live with them on a long drive to the track and then of course great for the track.

It's pretty amazing to have a track type seat that can fold for access to the back and be that light AND have side Airbags.

Nobody could venture as to what the prices will be.

I sat in them also, and liked them.
I'm 5'6" and 157lbs, afraid anyone much bigger may be a tight fit.
One of the PCNA reps told me they would be available after January build at $3k as an option (did not know if they would be available separately ie aftermarket).

They looked GREAT in that Red GT2 with red belts.

The optional bucket seats for other 911 is same as the GT2 one? Which is smooth leather with alcantara centre?

OR just full leather?

For the price I think it depends on the model, GT2 is free and turbo optional price is more resonable than carrera.

Also wondering anyone have pics of the bucket seats with Porsche crests?

Thanks
