Borla exhaust development for 997 GT3

the valves are horrible. would be ok if it was just a simple loud/quiet button but it keeps changing sound with rpm's. one sound at idle, another at low rpm, 3rd at high rpm. almost seems like artificial recording played through stereo. ive disconnected the valves and its ok with some booming around 3000rpm but at least sounds natural.

Wait is this why sitting idle in traffic, when I hit the "Sport" button the exhaust note changes but once I start moving the sound goes back to normal and then I have to pass a certain RPM before the exhaust note deepens again?
Is there a fuse I can pull to disengage the valve so when I hit sport it will stay open at any rpm?
Borla: I think all the factors listed are important but here is my criteria:
1) Nice thin-wall polished straight cut tips, please no rolled edge tips!
2) Sounds good at idle with a nice backfire in downshifts
3) Lightweight
4) Cost effective (since not all of us are made of money! haha)
thanks for asking,
rick

Thanks for the comments!
Sounds like there is a little more interest in the second set of pics. Here are a couple more shots of the Double-Walled tips...
Btw, what are your thoughts on polished tips vs. the factory-coated black?
