Picking up a 996 GT3 RS (red on white) on Thursday.

Currently own a genuine 73 RS (also red on white)

though it would be great to have a matching pair, old vs new

I can't wait to pick it up.


Anybody here also own a GT3RS (996)? I love the 73 RS, hoping the GT3 will be just a raw and pleasurable to drive.

Used to own a 996TT and loved it, but it was so sedate to drive compared to the RS. The turbo was very fast but just nowehere near as raw or racey.

Looking forward to becoming more regular here, however there doesn't seem to be many aussies on this forum.

Have had porsches in the family for a long time, numerous 356's, 911's, 993's, 996's, 944's, 968's, 928's and the list of P-cars goes on

I am going to take the 73 RS and the GT3 RS to the track and maybe do an old vs new photo shoot or even video ASAP!

Welcome aboard, I know there have been a few 6/RS's posted, but the only one Im positive of is with B7R with a blue one.

I would love to get my hands on a 996 GT3RS for pure track use. They were never intended for the US and I presume there are the DOT issues.

I heard about a red GT3RS being imported a few years ago.

people laughed at the fact it was being offered at 180K+

I love my 996GT3RS. I had a 996GT3 mk1 Clubsport before and the difference between the two cars is massive, all to the better for the RS.

yeah my mate just took delivery of a Green and black 997GT3 RS. The local dealer currently has 3 of them, they looks so hot, but ever since the 996GT3 RS came out I have wanted one.. Mainly becuase it would match the 73 RS, but can't wait to drive it. It only has 9,000km's on the clock, so it's very low.
