Can you put Rear Seats in a GT3?

I have searched the forum but cannot find any answers. I am curious, can you install rear seats in a 997 GT3? Are the seat belt holes under the rear carpet? I do not track my car(s) and on occasion take my kids to school, soccer, etc. I love the look and exclusivity of the GT3 but need rear seats on occasion. Anyone do it? What parts were required? Any tips? I'm not certain how the insurance company would look at this as the car is really a 2 seater from their perspective.

Thanks,
Adam

Alex:

Excellent info! Thanks for the link. I did not even think to look at rennlist as I usually just lurk on 6speed. Looks like it may be quite a bit of work. I wish Porsche would offer this as an option.

Regards,
Adam

As with most I don't think a GT3 should have rear seats, but I can understand why you would want them good luck!

It's not too much of a problem if you have the factory service manual detailing how to remove all the carpets and panels. I still have the docs compiled in pdf in order of dissassembly. If interested, give me your email and you can see what's involved.
