Porsche 997 GT3 RS AP Car Design
AP Car Design thinks the GT3 RS could be improved. The standard GT3 RS has 410-415 bhp but thanks to a new airbox, improved motor management system and exhaust system, the car now has 440 bhp. The airbox is relatively cheap.,you can get one for around 500 euros. Other modifications are the mirrors, they are really good track use according to AP.
The car is also equipped with a roll cage which makes the car perfectly safe for track days. Okay, it's more difficult to get in the car but if you crash into the wall at the end of the day, the roll cage just might have saved your day. The new AP Car Design wheels cost around 2000 euros, a lot cheaper than other tuners who charge you anywhere near 6000 euros. Yes, it happens. You may have noticed it but the suspension has been lowered 20mm. On the front a Porsche supercup spoiler has been attached, on the side some AP Car Design sideskirts and some decals have been put on the roof and the front window.
The wheels are 20" AP Design five-spoke racing wheels with Pilot Sport Cup tyres. The entire kit costs around 5000 euros.

Dont really like the mirrors.

I didn't know there were 20" racing wheels and more importantly that you could get dem CUPs in 20" size, yo?
I guess you can anything racing if you slap them on a GT3RS...
And if I do my math right, they are $4400 tires...? (5000 EURO for tire+wheel package and then it says above the wheels are only 2000 EURO.)

But otherwise I think AP is quite decent company for styling etc...
I think their 997 GT3 RS car (sadly with those blingbling wheels but also with a proper racing suspension from K&W) has seen a lot of more track miles than most RS's in the forum.

Some other their examples:

And more from this so called APE Racing ??

Juha: I just saw your new pics! Truly fantastic car!
Would like it more if you change someday your knock off seats and Cargraphic-replica wheels (aren't they too +1" size, which you just dissed?
)

Nevertheless, the cars you posted look great!
Thanks for the compliments on my 3!
The wheels are for regular street driving so they're just for looks. I have the proper size (18") BBS racing wheels for track duty.
The roads here are mostly straight (no curves) so I don't get much kick out of driving on the streets. It's mostly all show and no go.
However, when I get this bad boy up to Sebring or Homestead, things are very different!!
What comes to the knock off seats, they work fine and with the current Euro-USD ratio, I'd rather put that money into something else.
Hey Juha, don't take their newer stuff too seriously, their main "focus" is building 964RS turnkey clones. I think their car is in Total911 magazine this month. They basically strip down a 964 tub and put it together exactly how the owner wants it, technically making it an "AP Car Design 964RS." I've never heard of anyone doing business with them, but they've gotten a lot of good press lately with these cars. I'm sure they do decent work, but sometimes the customers taste is questionable, know what I'm saying?
964 is the name common with the n/a Carrera 2/4. The 965 is the number tagged to the "964" turbo.. they called it a 965 also meaning 964 Turbo.
It's like the 944/951 thing... 944 n/a The 951 is the turbo varient.
