I signed up with RSS Plenum group buy and planned on installing the plenum on a 04 GT3 (mk2).

Then, I got a call from RPM asking me if I had the X51 package on the GT3 (apparently, it doesn't fit without it). Now, I figure I know a thing or two about Porsche's but I would check with 6speed first.

1. Is there an X51 package for the 996 GT3
2. And if there is, how can I check if its there?
3. Has anyone installed a plenum on a 996-GT3?

(For the record, I am fully aware of the X50-TT and X51-997 powerkits)

 

Had an '05 996 GT3...never heard of an X51 package for it.

No such thing as an X51 package for the GT3. There is no plenum that will fit a 996 GT3 either.

There is the Manthey 410 HP kit for the 996 GT3 Headers ECu cats and mufflers
it was a NIce setup!!!

 

They probably called it that so people would understand what is was?

Most people know what an X51 package is and does!

 

for VIP's , you get X55

Perhaps this was really a reference to the Area 351 package. Hopefully this won't alienate anyone.

Apparently there was a bit of confusion between the 996 and gt3 fitments.
Long story short .. there is no plenum for the 996-GT3.
