Weight of GT3 RS Wheels
I have a set of C-90's on order waiting for inner front rim's. They're for my CLK-63 Black. That was my GT-3 RS in the HRE Booth at SEMA along with my CLK-63 Black. I sure like the 18" wheels over the 19's on the RS. The trend is bigger sizes for looks but performance is compromised. We walk a fine line on that point. My braking was so much better on 18" wheels. Easier to fit slicks for track events also. C-90's will be out as soon as all the 30 hole rim's arrive. It's an all new design with fewer bolts. HRE just keeps making improvements and more choices. They have a good design team, there always pushing the envelope in performance and strength. It's what I wanted them to do 8 years ago. No question they are cutting edge now ! Wheel selection is so important on a light car like the RS. Tires are another issue. They have varying weights between brands and sizes. Light tires like Michelin Cup's help. Steve
Nice cars! i saw both of them at SEMA, both looked great! Although you said the C90s have fewer bolts, i think you may have said that wrong? didn't they add more bolts to the C90 series over the C20s series?
HRE did increase the bolt count on the C90 series wheels to 30 bolts versus the C20 series 24 bolts. We offer all of the HRE products including the Cup wheels.
On our scale the Porsche Factory 997 GT3 wheels weigh 24 pounds 5 ounces each front and 30 pounds 13 ounces each rear.

HRE C-90's
[quote=GT3Ranger;1651405]Could someone post pics of the HRE C90 wheels.
Juan, hot off the press. I just came from HRE. Here is the first set of C-90's for my CLK-63 Balck. I will get some close up's soon. They are very detailed with material removed inside the Y spokes and outer base. I went up in tire size. Rides great !

Nice!!! I still LOVED the way the monoblocks look on your car. You had the C90s on your GT3RS at SEMA on one side, did you ever have all 4? or was that just for the show?

GT-3 RS Wheels

I had them custom build a set of 18" Cup wheels which were for slicks but I tried them on the street cause they looked so good. They performed so much better than the 19" I kept them on. I was able to mount 315's in the rear using Corsa's I'm selling my C-20's in 19". The wheels put on for SEMA were their wheels for display. I think they were 20's. No question 18" wheel offers less rotational inertia. My braking was much better with less pedal effort and shorter stopping distance. Acceleration was improved also but you could really feel the braking improvement. Hard to tell the difference with the C-90's on my CLK-Black. I just put them on this afternoon. They are a very detailed wheel with material removed everywhere it wasen't needed.
Best regards, Steve

Nice to know the Cup wheels able to perform how they were ment to be.
The C90s on your GT3RS at SEMA were 19" they dont make 20" C series. But the Monoblocks they had on the otherside were indeed 20".

These were originally being sold exclusively by GMG as the "HRE GMG CUP" wheel. I ordered a set for my 996 Turbo last year and love them.
