Someone Hit my GT3!!
Corsican BB just wondering did you call the police to give you a police report etc? Sorry mate to hear about your accident! Any updates on your car?
I live in Dubai too, just picked my Cayenne on Thursday early morning from a normal service routine from the porsche service centre in al quoz and got home from at night and saw minor scratches under my headlight. I got really pissed couldnt do much since it was the weekend. Called up today they said they cant doing anything since I took it out the service centre. Im calling Porsche Middle East tomorrow to complain.
I went today evening to the Porsche Bodyshop to get an estimate they want to 3500 AED to respray the the whole bumper and remove the minor scratches.
I tell you Porsche Dubai and the worset Serivce Centre here. They are so slow and never pick a phone when you try to contact them, i tell you its just ridiculous.

Sorry to hear about your Cayenne, man! Take a look at my other thread on a "GT3RS Sitting in the dust", from a few days ago...
For a 'smart fix' on your scratches, there is no better place than Polimar, where I had my GT3 repaired. They can probably do a smart repair that will cost you less than 1,500 aed and their work is sensational! Just call Sacco, the Technical Director, at 04 341 2799. Their workshop is litterally around the corner from the Porsche Service Center, just follow the same road, turn left at the end and you will see a blue facade building about 150m down the road. That's it.
I do not know if calling Porsche Middle East will help. Let us know!
Its the same thing in Kuwait,
I got them to fix my panaromic roof three times and they spoil the single cd slot in the pcm screen whilst attempting to get the roof done. I obviously complained about this manner and then they fixed it under the warranty and gave me a new 05 model pcm screen which doesn't accepts mp3 cd's, I contacted the service rep the next day and said are you using an orginal cd, like wtf am I stupid there is no original mp3 disc I replied. So he said okay bring the car today and I got them to change the pcm.
I think Porsche should do a quality control over the cayenne issues so far,
a)fuel cover locking and thats when I needed petrol due to low fuel on reserve
b)panaromic roof stuck
c)panaromic roof rubber blows of on highway
d)faulty parking sensors
e)single cd slot not working
The dealership is really bad and there were times when I go to them daily to checkup on their slow progress, what do you call a dealership which has 3 service representatives in a country with a population of 2.9 million ?
I leave the answer to you.

I complained about all these minor issues to Porsche and everytime my car goes into the service centre after that they call my ask are you satisfied with your work done on your car.
The thing with Dubai dealership we get cars from dubai and northern emirates excluding abu dhabi and al ain so imagine the service centre is only 100,000 sq feet. And top of that all the other GCC countries Porsche cars come to the Dubai service centre.
They are always slow on doing anything they promise but can never delivery on time. I dont think I will buy a Porsche again, because of the hassale and pain.
Now im waiting to extend my warranty and they wont renew it until I replace my 4 tyres. Mercedes and BMW are a million times better when it comes to after sales service.
Im pissed!!!
Oh boy and I thought Dubai had the worest service centre guess I was wrong. Its such issues like yours that they repair and while repairing those problems they create other problems in the car. Recently the airbag light was on because i was having steering wheel issues. So they fixed the steering wheel but while fixing the steering wheel they did something to the airbag.

Yes I did get the Police report and all that, as it is the only way to get the insurance to work.

Yes tell me about it, you see 911 turbos or cayennes all lying out there. You should go back on the Porsche service centre and see some of the cars there sitting in dust. My 928S has been in the porsche service centre for a year now because of parts not available. The thing with classic porsches there is one technician working on older porsches so imagine.
Thank you for the contact I think i ll have to put a dent in my pocket and fix my cayenne up. The porsche service centre is so ****ing useless.

Keep us updated on your Gt3.

What more can I say. Imagine i have only 24,000km on my 2006 cayenne S when i bought it in march 2006 and 2 years is approaching soon. I have never been able enjoy my cayenne for more than 6 months
Oh mercedes provides A plus service. You have a problem immediately they get back to you no matter what time it is or no matter where you are. My family too have been mercedes customers for 40 plus odd years. When you book a appointment you get it in 2 days and with Porsche 40 days or more

lmao and I thought I was the only Porsche customer to be suffering, it feels nice that someone else is in the same shoes as me. My dads first p car was 930 turbo, 2nd one was 928S and 3rd was 993 Carrera and finally then Cayenne. We still have 930 turbo and 928S sitting in the service centre waiting for parts to arrive since there is only one technician who works on the classic p cars. 993 carrera dad sold initially because he didnt enjoy the car as the previous models. Hopefully late 2008 if they produce a Turbo S, dad has allocated a car for himself put a small deposit down.
Individually, the guys at the Prosche service center are ok. The technicians, Adrian, Sven, etc. are all good guys, very knowledgeable and helpful, once you can get them to look at your car!! They are way too busy, that's the problem, which makes it difficult for them to do their job right. That's where Porsche Middle East should come in ... but it does not seem to be happening. And I know that we are not the only ones to complain. A friend of mine has been having warranty issues on his 996 Turbo (carbon fiber trim peeling off) for the last 3 years and is still waiting for Naboodah to order the parts!
Absolutely agree on this. or diminished value compensation against a trade in for a new car.
We do restoration and collision work .
That is EASILY fixable it will require to blend the door and the quarter panel.
Should not effect resale at all. Nothing structural- No grounds for diminished value. If it were a structural repair and a heavy hit thats one thing.
It certainly does suck to have your car damaged when it out of your care.
More headache and hassle than its worth no doubt.

I'm sure it has :)....
although looking at all the cars sitting covered in dust at the back of this place, I would not be 100% sure
....same thing happened me at the same place recently. Just wondering how the story turned out. My damage not as severe, but it's dreadful that they would let this happen twice. Would be interesting to know 3 years later if it affected the value of the car or not in the end....anyway...looks like we will never know

Sorry for the late reply... Didn't expect this thread to be revived!
The repair was eventually done very well by the wizards at Polimar. I was very happy with it and it has not affected the car in any way. I still drive it every day: 82,000 km and counting
It was the fastest non-RS GT3 on track the last time we did timed laps at the Dubai Autodrome with the Porsche Club.
Sorry to hear about your problem. What is the status now?
