I have always known Por-Sha to be the "Correct" way to say it....but to be honest, kinda felt like a snob saying it like that around certain peeps......is that weird?

Love your avatar. Very cool

Quote: Well, if we're going to get technical...

Porsche is a family name, and the family members pronounce their surname PORSH-uh, not PORSH! Same for the car.

I say it either way. We didn't win WWII for me to pronounce German perfectly in English. We won it so we can drive damn good cars and mispronounce it all we want.

Exactly. Its the same when saying "moet" as in champagne. The correct way is obviously " Mo-et " but you feel like a dork saying it like that so depending on who it is, i will say it the commonly said way " mo-ay".

The itinerant painter re-appeared at the front door carrying a soggy brush and an empty paint can. He says to the house owner, "OK, Mister, I'm finished. But, just so you know, that ain't no Porch, it's a Maserati!"

wow, a lot of pompous people on here. I've always known it to be Porsha, but many people who aren't privy to the car world won't know what you're talking about, so I often refer to it as a Porsh. To the guy who said you don't deserve a Porsche if you can't pronounce it, wow you are one arrogant SOB.
