Now that's a test drive!!!
I was a bit unclear on what Prost was saying about the GT3... then english translation was a little ambiguous...
Did he mean "its like a race car without the annoying things about a real race car", (positive comment) or did he mean "its like a race car without the things a real race car has, and that is annoying" (criticism of the car).

Anyway He said the gearbox it's a bit too heavy...but hey...

he is very right about the is like a race car but without crucial race car bits...After one pilots a true race car, there are certain things which make it awesome, and certain that suck...but in the end, the bad aspects are washed away because it is a true race car. BUT, if you have the bad aspects of a race car on the road, and not the great aspects of a race car...well, I know where he is going!
He was critical of the Porsche saying that while it felt more agile and quicker to turn it didn't feel as stable at the top speed as the Lambo. He also was more impress by the Lambo's extra 100 horsepower from a bigger v10 engine than the lower torque flat6 of the Porsche (even though he said it was a great engine but only produced 415 HP).
Given the price difference I would still take a stripped stock GT3 over the superleggera at almost 2X the price whose brakes he did say was starting to exhibit fade after 4-5 hard stops. Porsche brakes as comes with each of their models can withstand 10 consecutive hard stops from 100mph down to rest without fade.

- I thought his most useful quote was -" the car is unstable under high speed braking".
- myself, and a few others, have reported this problem and i am mostly convinced that it is because of the very crappy LSD that is included with the car
- the lsd will last a few laps at regular fast speeds or maybe 1 lap (maybe) at very, very high braking speeds but will then fully fail or worse partially fail and the result is a LSD that kicks in / out of work (or totally fails like mine did) and when you get the right kind of braking zone the front end just hunts back and forth for grip
- porsche should really be ashamed for not including the real Motorsport LSD with this car
- i hope to report in the spring that my new Guard Transmission 50/80 LSD has solved this problem
- the other thing that i thought was pretty noticeable about the video was how much more leaning through the curves the gt3/rs seemed to have than the lambo

^^^ if your serious
It is a "limited slip differential". The purpose (in short) is to let BOTH wheels lay down power to the road. There are different lockups available, but, LSDs usually allow for more smooth break-aways when pushing the limit and stabilize the car when the traction is not optimal.

Maybe...but there are stock diffs that are NOT nearly that ****ty and arent noisy...but whatever...
I think a part of the trait is from the interesting alignment some of these cars got...
