Road going GT3's had slightly more power than the Cup cars so will Porsche increase the road GT3's power soon?

No they didn't. They were close, but the Cup has a little more. Like 415 to 420.

The '08 cup car has 420hp, they had 400 last year. The cup engine does not have the vario-stuff, it's simpler as it does not need low end torque for racing. The rev limit is about 8500. Here is a video from Sebring last week, the yellow light on the dashboard comes up about 8300 or so.
