I've just heard that many specific parts will be on "hold" for a MAJOR PRICE INCREASE! Not in stone, but generally accurate info in the past from this source.

Well when for example the RS wing for the GT3 went up to $8000 from $3600
Porsche sold exactly ZERO. Maybe they got the message.

Hold off on your purchases for awhile. Many threads on Rennlist discuss this. Prices ARE coming down after irrational exuberance from Porsche. The previously discussed RS Wing went from 2800 to $3500 to $4400 to $8000 in less than a year. Viperbob said a lot of parts went up 100-300%.

Yes the dollar is very low, but not that low to warrant such a price increase. As a result, Porsche sold very little "add on" items such as RS Wings and the such and appear to be adjusting to market conditions.

 

I have it from a very reliable source that Porsche realized a huge price issue with GT2/ GT3 parts. The issue was due to a screw up in Germany and they have corrected it. The corrected pricing was adjusted on February 15th. Some parts were reduced as much as 300%!
