(Im still getting all the specs down, sorry for the here and there comments).
No matter, Oakley looks like it is putting together some great items for the car. Looking forward to seeing the final products.

I can personally talk about the Dymag wheels. They are great. I've been running them on my GT3 for 4 months. I am so impressed with the performance. The improvement in braking is outrageous. I presume the acceleration and handling are affected but due to other performance mods it is hard to isolate.
The GIAC software has also nicely complemented the FVD headers and the single mass flywheel. The motor really wakes up. I need to re-dyno the car to see what's up. Last check it put down 384 rwhp. It would be great to reach 400 rwhp?
Will follow up with new dyno #'s

sechsgang, have you heard of the company http://www.designtek.eu/ ? A lot of the more basic products seem to be similar (titanium coilovers etc).

Is design tek an affiliate of Oakley or just some knockoff company.

Oakley definitly looks like the real deal, look forward to seeing your car when its done.

cheers

It would seem like a similar company...there are interesting relations in Europe of which I am not familiar...BUT, Oakley does produce their own products/announces affiliations pretty openly. For example, Jon is heavily associated with Ascari and the carbon wheels he produces happen to be found on the A10...

Jon has worked for MANY production companies (be it Porsche, Pirelli, Brembo etc) and that has let him into a good deal of technology/opportunity. I dont know what the other guys have. I DO know that DesignTek is selling actual DYMAG wheels...other than that 10 spoke...wonder where that one his coming from...hmm....

OBV Ill throw a thread to the stuff when its on my car...

Might be better for Oakley if they request the design tek replace their photo with one that doesn't use oakley product (as i believe you mentioned the 10-spoke CF/Mag wheel is of their design).

The CF rollcage sounds like its going to be nuts! probably worth more than my car is at this point haha

Gentlemen you may consider the QuickSilver headers/exhaust system or an Oakley design which I'm now totally confused on who makes what.

I will tell you that for $3,800 you can get an FVD header/exhaust system which in my GT3 has shown 24 rwhp gain. This is dyno proven!
I dare any other company selling for thousands more produce more rwhp gains. Also now w/ the GIAC software the motor has really come alive.

Guys I do not want to be a pain but you decide how you want to spent your money. I must say, as the original USA FVD customer this company ****ed me but there is no denying the quality of their product. I have irrefutible rwhp gains done at Champion Motorsport dyno.

Gents spend your money as you wish.

Cheers,

they have a GT3 wing replacement. The cf replacement along with the lip spoiler and deck-lid intake parts were all tested in the MIRA facility as well. They are COMPLETELY functional!

Ill give Jon a ring to see whats up, because as you can see from the other website, the 2 wheels are dymag, and the other is NOT labeled...

Juan, there is one thing that the oakley system does which as of now, NO other system manages...with the oakley system, one can actually mount the can differently for low DB tracks. This means that you should be able to use this exhaust at Laguna and Limerock without getting the noise police black-flagging you. This is a huge plus for this system. Quicksilver has additional track cans that they sell as well. So in Florida, I can understand you standing where you are, but in certain areas where exhaust modification is a bit more risky, these products really shine!

would love to know the specs of the mentioned products...Is the carbon made by Reverie or did they just test with them? Price, availability?

Ill answer (or Jon) a bit more "officially" when Ive got the stats, but the roll-cage will be fairly pricey. I know Jon is still deciding on a price as all the cf products are made with an autoclave and therefor extremely expensive to produce (not EVOMS like stuff...and I have an EVOMS wing...). I think he is thinking around 15 or so for the whole cage...BUT it does save 75% of the cage weight, and thats a pretty big boon to the product. No one will say that saving at least 75 lbs in any kind of stock class/spec class is not an amazing thing to be able to do. That said, they are waiting on FIA approval as they need to devise a test that can suggest how the product will/wont splinter, as outright rigidity is a non-issue, the cage passes that test with FLYING colors. The cage/bar is already TUV approved, which is far harsher than the DOT approval we have in the US

a bit OT, but I wonder if there is any relationship between the sequential shifter used on the Ruf CTR3, and the Oakley system.

Ruf have said that the system used in their car is sourced from another supplier, and as of a year ago they said that the shifter was still being fine tuned.

The Oakley system is likewise sourced from another developer, with Porsche connections, but Porsche abandoned the project.

I've played with the shifter in the CTR3 (car was parked of course, not running), and i think you could get used to it quite quickly. And as its rather tall and close to the steering wheel, it fuels all sorts of WRC fantasies
