1) if you disconnect the battery you are just taking a precaution of not doing something to get he air bag blow. when you replace the factory seats with racing seats at least in a 997 you are eliminating a thorax air bag that is in the seat, and you are eliminating a sensor in the pass seat to depower the bacg so you will get a bag warning light, and you will have to get a dealer to reprogram. you can do a search on rennlist, this is discussed. a guy named Mooty has the instructions to give to the dealer, as i had to, to turn off the bag warning.
2) all 996 and 997 have the necessary bolt holes, if your car had back seats it bolts to the old outboard set belt bolts if its a GT3 you lift the tape off as i showed in the pictures. I would do a search, everything you need to know is on this or Rennlist, I learned what i had to do from the list.

Its a beautiful thing. Good luck

Today we took the seats and rear computer cover (where the RS logo) and made a pre installation of the roll bar and now I have some questions:

-Do I have to cut the computer cover to let the roll bar tubes pass ? or there is an specific carpet cover when you use the roll bar?

-I made some 10 x 10cm metal plates with 3 holes to connect the roll bar in the floor of the car since my car didn't had those plates welded in the floor.

The roll bar is a must for this cars it looks really cool

Señor Fernando I really don't know the GMG model but if there is and OEM I will prefer this one.

The rollbar is installed now it is very nice because it attaches to the rear shock towers and gives a lot of stiffness to the car,I had to made 4 10 x 10cm steel plates and drilled 3 holes each side and then used some nuts and bolts I made this to jump the welding since I don't know how to weld etc also used some Wurth black glue.
Had to cut the carpet this was scary but the results are super cool this is a must to any GT3 or GT3 RS...

Tomorrow the seats...

Can your GT3 seats slide past your tequipment roll bar without stopping the seat.. unlike the stock seats that hit the lower section of the roll bar???

I have the GT3 seats/tequipment roll bar, I'm 6'3" with a 35" inseam and my seat still has room to go back before contacting the bar.
