Wow, and that's by a mag. Easily a 10 second car in the right hands.
Screw those other guys, the 996 GT2 was the last best 911 ever, this one is taking that spot.

That's a great question. For a 911 to top it I think it wont be until the 998 GT2. But if the GT1 makes it out, that would do the trick.
I'm sorry, I dont care what Motor Trend says, the CGT is still the best Porsche ever. And still the fastest.
I think modern LAZINESS has made people want the car that goes the fastest while they have to do the least. I'm the opposite, I want a car that is inviting to drive but makes sure you better know what you're doing, and therefore keeps you on your toes. Not these lazy drivethemselve mobiles.
This is why the 997 GT3 cant surpass the 996 GT2 IMO. But for the general public, enjoy steak well done.

I think we shouldn't jump to conclusions until the car is out and we've had seat time in it. Mine should be coming soon. If I don't sell it, I'll let you know soon enough.

Sounds to me like it's an amazing car this GT2.
Woah buddy, I'm not calling any Porsche that, but the characteristics that seperate a 996 GT3 from the 997 GT3 and likewise with the GT2 are what the majority people lust for these days, and that is comfort, quiet and docile, and Porsche is simply catering to their demands by adding a little of that here and there. But the fell I got sitting in and driving a 996 GT3 just doesnt happen in a 997 GT3, it's not as "raw". Great car, ABSOLUTELY, but still not as raw as the 996 Versions, more driver aids, more comforts, more weight.
Notice I still said the 997 GT2 is the best 911 ever (well other than maybe a euro 996 GT3 RS). I just think that reviewers that call the 997 GT3 the best 911 ever are basing it on the creature comfort + speed aspect and not the purity and rawness of it, which the 996 GT3 has it beat in IMO.
