It should be cheaper but you would be surprised...I called them looking to trade my dads Lambo Gcar, and they wouldn't budge off their stupid number (I think around 170 or 180).

I did the same 04 upgrades to my 02 GT2 (front diffuser, mirrors, rear wing) and it is no doubt much cheaper than buying an 04 (suprisingly few of the 15 or so 04s were actually ordered with the carbon option btw) but certainly not inexpensive, particularly if you don't plan on installing them yourself.

There is more to an '04 upgrade than cosmetics...I believe there have been suspension changes and a new ecu mapping which gives the car more hp

Yes indeed. I was only referring to cosmetic modifications.

I've got the Carbon Rear Spoiler on my '02 GT2 and also the Carbon/Kevlar Hood from the GT3RS coming.

Ruf fitted my wing in Germany when they fitted the 550bhp engine upgrade - and it's still much cheaper than buying an '04...............

I bet that it was cheaper for you, Guy, to go for a 550BHP RUF, plus all the other stuff you got then it is to trade to an 04 GT2. The end product is simply amazing, I've been in a 550BHP RUF clubsport and I can tell you that no 04 GT2 can compare.

What were the Ruf upgrades that you did to the GT2? I am interested in the engine and suspension specificly

Richard, basically he did the R Turbo 550hp package... That costs approximately $24,000 to do it here + travel and shop rental expenses for the Ruf technician.

As for suspension, just slap on the Ohlins, Moton, or JRZ triples...

If you set aside around $40,000 for mods, you'll get a nice package!

Hammann is correct I did the 550bhp engine upgrade as well as some cosmetics:

Ruf Alcantara Steering Wheel
Ruf Carpets
Carbon Wing
Carbon Hood

As for suspension, the guys at Ruf said don't bother for a GT2, as the suspension is so good to start with.

As Hammann said though if you really need trick adjustable suspension then JRZ, Moton or Ohlins are excellent, but expensive and in my opinion really only better for track use.
