Does a GT3 cup tranny have a LSD Diff???
There is a GT3 cup tranny for sale in my area, I'm wondering what the setup of this tranny is like, is it ok for street use? would this be a good way to convert my 996tt to 2WD? Btw the price seems right if the LSD is in it!!!

But aren't the Cup cars sequentials with manual clutches?
And I don't know if it was built with the torque handling capacity that the turbo motors can produce. As for the LSD, I believe they do come with it. For streetability, I can't really say, if they are straight-cut gears it might get pretty noisy and I think the clutch/flywheel pack is pretty light, thus not that easy to cruise with on the streets...
Anyhow, experts, give your thoughts, correct me if I'm wrong.

The 996 cup was a normal shifting 6 speed with a racing LSD that is very stiff. They are very noisy, especially at low speeds. The 997 cup is sequential and has an even stronger LSD. Late 996 and all 997 GT3 cup trannies are also water cooled. The 997 cup tranny can not be driven on the street, you need to be under high power and RPMS to upshift, without clutching or lifting. It does not like shifting up with the clutch or at partial throttle/low RPMS.
