dougdep is infamous around these parts
techquipment

i have had the porsche factory techquipment harness/roll bar installed in my GT3. There is definately creaking and noises coming from it which drives me crazy too. when i am on the track it is not noticable but driving around town I try to combat it by turning up the radio. Tightening the bolts will help???? is that the general consensus??

do the people with GT3s using the RS roll bar have sun roofs? Less clearance?

Yes as we know all 997 GT3's have a "damn" sunroof.
Yes it is a tighter fit due to the clearance loss of the sunroof.
The rollbars were able to be put in but I can not open the sunroof.
Have others had this same experience?

My rollbars are in there with a shoehorn, it is so tight in there but it looks good.

Juan,

i was out joyriding with my kid last weekend with the sunroof open! but i have the DAS bar. NO SQUEAK. zilch. nada. all bolt-ons and it looks damn good.

i take it you have checked that all the bolts are tight? i wonder since your oem rs bar mounts to the floor if your welds had come apart. maybe you should check that too if you haven't done so.

if you ever do decide to change to DAS, contact jonathan@millaracing he'll take good care of you.

Unhappy

Hey speedoflight I see you're enjoying your Dazz bar. Only other rollbar to consider I might add.
Anyway I will say that "sadly" yes Jonathan will take care of me like he did with the Sparco DTM seats. (unhappy)

Cheers, GT3Ranger...Juan
