Quote: Since Z07 was banned(I think unfairly), I'll explain it to you:[indent]

What part of the above don't you understand? If you still don't get it and want a more in depth explanation, go back and read those magazine comparisons ONE more time.
If you think Z07's SECOND banning was unfair with him posting death certificates for the 911, and crash pictures to taunt Porsche owners, after calling the 911 a POS and being on a short rope to begin with, then you should just follow him to wherever he ends up.

You wont get much backing that Z07 should still be here, he has blatantly disrespected Porsches and owners in general.

You continue to show your lack of understanding. Enjoy your GT-R.

But like I've said, you are not worth typing responses to, so carry on, but with this post you havent done anything but confirmed yourself as an utter fanboy with a 996 TT in their sig.

We could probably use my car, so in case Mark and those guys cant get their issue figured out, we'll have two TT's in the front next year.

We'd be contenders for sure with him and I driving.

That'd be pretty sick. .

Urban Dictionary-
1. Fanboi
Someone who is hopelessly devoted to something and will like anything associated with thier particular thing.

-That damn fanboi only likes that game cause Capcom made it.

-The only reason he bought that car is cause he is a Japanese fanboi.

I'm sorry, but I fail to see how being a Porsche Fanboi makes one anymore reliable, accurate, or authoritative on a subject when measured up against a Nisan/Chevy/Dodge/etc Fanboi.

This back and forth is becoming trivial & petty, leaving one obvious solution…wait until there are enough GTRs on the streets to have a suitable number of tests so that we might, as a community, have some level of benchmark/closure to which we can all agree to hang our hats on.

No doubt these tests/trials are representative of something, but let’s be honest with ourselves, these tests (magazines included) are prefaces’ to the release of the GTR onto the US streets, and will no doubt eventually be deemed outmoded and inconclusive. These pissing contests are doing no good for anyone, and frankly undermining the integrity of 6speed. Be adults, agree to disagree, and take it to the track when the car makes it state-side.

I for one will be looking forward to those results, till then…it’s all hearsay and Fanboi speak.

Quote: No, actually I did not ask for Leh's input, and we all know he's an import fan, so he knows I take what he says with a grain of salt based on his response when I did try to ask for a professional opinion. Besides, he's not the ONLY pro driver I talk to, and ones that he's very familiar with will completely disagree with his assessment of a 996 GT3 with coilovers being enough to beat a stock 997 GT3, and there are times to prove it and I can show them.

You fanboys find points to harp on, yet continue to ignore the real issue here, which for me was to debunk at the very least road and tracks test as biased. If the data they posted did not, then this certainly does.

Selective beleivability with facts to show otherwise FTL.
Isn't Leh racing against the GTR, GT3's at Road America at the moment in a modded Cayman....how does that make him an import fan...and even if he is, why would he lie?

The real issue here is that you may have started out attempting to debunk the Road and Track test, but in the process, lost you way and ended up trying to debunk the GTR.

Irrespective of how successful you think you have been with the former, you have failed miserably with the latter.

If there ever was a time for a noble exit strategy, it's long gone.
Now, with your latest posts, you've demonstrated a desire
not be understood....which no doubt is much more preferable than any expression of embarrassment.

But, no doubt, like the Black Knight in Monty Python, you'll still want to fight.

Dunno, maybe because we know him and has an R34 Skyline that would eat a lot of Turbos on here.

So is one's credibility measured by what car they drive?

On a serious note, isn't he racing the modded Cayman?

Dude, you asked how that makes him an import fan in your above post. That's what I was responding to.

Yes, he's driving the Cayman in the One-Lap.

I'm not trying to pick an argument.

So he owns a Japanese car as well as a German car.
I'm just trying to understand what you and HC meant by "import fan."

Do you mean he is a fan of all non-American cars or do you mean a fan of Japanese cars?

So by definition,is HC an import fan because he owns a 996tt?

You're on your own little island. Dez said that he was an import fan. It's pretty obvious, he owns a Skyline. He'd call himself one also. Heck, we call his car the RicerRocket. He doesn't really care, unlike most 6blingonline members.

Quote: Well you seem to be the only one that thinks a 996 GT3 with relatively minor suspension upgrades is faster than a 997 GT3, and that's including pro guys that have owned them and had lots of seat time in both, very well setup at the same tracks. You know Hank, I heard this straight from the horses mouth.

You said before that you thought the GT3 would be faster on the circuit considering equal drivers, has that changed now? I sure hope it isnt based on the magazines, not if you have looked at the videos and data.

In fact, if you look at the b stock records (PCA) you'll see that the 996 GT3 which are much more heavily modded than Ian's (lexan windows, weight reduction etc) are still only slightly faster) than a stock GT3 and their running hoosiers, and are heavily modded.

I know you do this race thing for a living, but let's be realistic here. That 996 GT3 is not faster than a 997 GT3 with no power mods and no weight reduction and only coilovers and a dialed suspension, of course, it's track dependant, but nevertheless as hefty fact.

ima need you to do something for me...

...read...... THINK....... thing again........ Post....

first of all.... im sure im not the only one.... but i dont know because ive never asked everyone in the entire world about it... like you have... oh wait. u asked Hank about it.. who is a average PCA guy... and i havent seen him at any events in years......

and if you consider Motons, sways and other sus goodies 'MINOR' i really dont know what to say about that...

Minor to me is springs. and sways maby... and to most... but i can tell your outa whack on most things... so thats maby why you said that...

yea i based my 'change' on magazine...... OR.. maby ive been watching the car over the past 2 days and competing against it... so i have more personal experience with it now....maby huh?.. did u think about that?.......

oh i also drove it....... does that count too?...... sorry Dez.. i dont talk out of my *** as much as u....

PCA records dont mean much to me... unless its overall fastest ever...... every driver there is different and no 2 cars exactly the same.... Ive seen GT3 street cars beat cup cars.. and even GT3 RS's in PCA.....

and i love how your telling me what the 996 gt3 has... when im sitting here staring at the car....

the intr has a lil bit of weight savings.. thanks to a recaro bucket seat...

and the car does have power mods.... like i already told you.. exhaust.. and im sure a filter...

i know that this black 996 GT3 that im looking at right now will be faster then a stock 997 GT3....

but anyways.. lets get back to the point... the GTR is faster then both...

also a lil update.. i was told i finished 2nd this morning overall... in the rain...

It wasn't obvious to me or from HC's post.
But he also owns a Cayman, so it isn't either fair or accurate to try and undermine his credibility with that reference.

The island that I'm on is not little and I'm not alone...unlike the Black Knight...well, he does have you, which is better than nothing.

See, you do not know what you're talking about. That's not his Cayman.

I think Ian has shocked everyone with how fast he went at Mid America, considering there are GTP's, GT-R, ACR, TT's and a Cayman GTR with better weight/power ratios and equal if not better suspensions. I'd say he's the over acheiver in the group by a good margin.
.

you are a joke... sitting there typing on your lil computer.....

and we dont have better power to weight then the GT3.....

over achiever?.......

u think he wants it more then other people out here?

i tell you what... u do it next year.. and i will DECIMATE you... with a Jap car.... i can promise you that....
