BFG R1's on 997 GT3?

I'm running Fiske 18" wheels for track days and would like to try the BFG R1s. I'm currently running hoosiers at 315/30-18 on the rear and the R1 only comes in 335/30 - 18.

Anyone running a 335/30 on a 997 GT3?

Thanks!!

Well, the BFG is only a tenth of an inch taller but its section width is a full inch wider. Also unsure of your rim width but as long as you are 12" you should be fine there.

Check and see if you have the clearance and have a blast.

you can run 335 in back, but what will you run up front? you need at least 275 as the 7gt3 already pushes.

Or add a big splitter and tray to the nose and get a little downforce.

agreed... Was giving that consideration. I've run the R1's on my other track car (240) and found them to be outstanding both with grip and durability. As for the GT3, I'll probably just stick with the Hoosiers as they are a good balance and fit perfectly.
