Glistening Perfection Sponsors 2008 PCA Concours in Huntington Beach
Glistening Perfection Sponsors 2008 PCA Concours in Huntington Beach
Well, I've been MIA for a while and here's why. The local chapter of the PCA asked me in March to be the exclusive car care sponsor for their event this year. Sounded like a fun afternoon right? Well let me tell you, it took some work. On top of running the daily tasks of operating Glistening Perfection, I also had to juggle all the aspects that go into putting on an event of this exposure. To be the EXCLUSIVE sponsor for a PCA Concours, a first for our company, has a lot of expectations from the crowd.
Needless to say, it all worked out, we had a blast, the event was AMAZING, and we wrapped it all up with a fine dinner with all the PCA members. Thanks to my good friend/client Jim, Buzzy from the PCA, all the friends/clients we saw, and new ones we met. And lastly, to my better half, I can never do any of these events without you
So here's our product salon. I wanted to keep it simple.

Made this banner to promote the detailing side of the company. Thank you Michael Furman and Sam Mann for the privilege of using the photos of the Delage.

This banner showcased the enviro-friendly side of our product range. I firmly believe we NEED to do our part as enthusiasts wherever we can. Nice to know my vendors feel the same.

The most under-rated car IMHO. I love working on these treasures. This one ended up taking about 40 hours of my time. Thanks Nick for letting me borrow her for the day.

Final prep before the event. Jim, you're a class act and I'm blessed to have friends/clients like you.

Thank you Paul for letting me borrow your C4S for the day. I hope you and the family had a great time at the event. The C4S was there to represent what a detailer and DIY client can accomplish. We've never machine polished this car and it's never seen a car wash. It does have very very minor hairline swirls, nothing the average guy would ever see, only us OCDs. But for a car that's not a garage queen, it can handle its own against any other car at the concours if it entered.

This was a last-minute idea, but I thought people would like to see what a 40-hour detail meant. A lot of people were shocked as to the level of attention and the sheer amount of work involved.

Oh yes; a little band from a university you may have heard of....GO TROJANS!!!

This 356 won the Concours a few years ago. Very nice.

Oh, yes...what's a Concours without Sun and Waves....gotta love Southern California.

Here's a panoramic shot of the event...
