Congratulations and hope you enjoy it to the fullest in the best of health, you should paint the seat backs white and get yourself a nice exhaust system.

I want to paint the back of the seats; has anyone painted aftermarket and have an idea what the cost might be.

First off, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. You have great taste. I would not change a thing the way you have it, but painting the back of the seats is not a bad idea. Are you thinking of going white? or possibly gloss black? The white may be too much since you have plenty right now in the car. The black would be subtle, but it will also look much better than the cheap volcano grey paint they they use in a few areas of our cars.

Cost to do this? My high end shop would do it for about $200.00 since there is barely any prep work to do on the painted surface. I would think tht $400.00 is the max anyone should charge you to do this unless I am overlooking something that makes it more difficult than I think. To aid in the cost, you could take out the seats yourself and bring them to a shop. This way you are taking out the seats and will be sure that no damage is done during the process since it is your new baby. Secondly, then the shop does not have your entire car when all they are painting are the seats.

Just my 2 cents.

May I ask, is this a brand new RS that your ordered, or a new one that was available? It is non of my gosh darn business, but are the white RS's like yours (a 2008) still bringing a hefty premium for the average guy? I know some can get them at MSRP.
