Don't hold your breath on the dealer installing the rear seat belts. They won't touch it due to liability issues.

Someone from the forum had 11% off of the sticker price and this is what I'll base my negotiation on.

For those of you with GT3 with a toddler, how do you cope with transporting your toddler? I thought all P-car's came with rear seatbelt, but I was informed that GT's don't have any rear seatbelt. This could be a deal breaker for me. Maybe I can get a cheap beater...

Thank you all for your inputs. You guys have already made me feel like I'm in your circle

Pretty rare that a GT3 isn't a fourth or fifth car, I'd say... at least in the U.S.

That said, there are GT3's running around with rear seats and belts installed... I don't know how many, but more than one.

Toadinlaw, how does your GT3 drive compared to your TT? It seems like I can get the used 2007 TT for nearly the same cost. One more thing, does GT3 have any rear seatbelt for toddler passenger/carseat?

Thank you, again.
Since I bought the GT3 I have gotten myself hooked on tracking to the point of obsession, so I might not be objective but I would say that if you have interest in tracking then the GT3 is the car. if you are looking for a cool daily driver on the street the TT is hard to beat. the GT3 does not make the best street vehicle because of its low clearance and its gear box is not as smooth or the suspension as soft at the tt.

No rear seats or belts in the 3. Personally I like my 3, don't think i could get excited about a TT anymore.

THE ROCKING CHAIR.

I just had the chance to drive the Slate Grey GT3. What a beautiful car! Compare to my modified M3, it is very raw and even more involving car to drive. I loved it.

Only thing is, the dealership is not really giving in at all. Again, the car was stickered at $122,000 when new, and they are offering $119,000 at 7,600 miles. Their "best" price was $118,500 with clear bra, but I still don't feel comfortable with the deal I'm getting. Everything said and done, it will be at $128,000. I asked if they can do $120,000 out the door, but they didn't seem remotely interested. I ended up thanking them for the test drive and just came home.

I feel that I have more room to negotiate due to current economy and the newer models coming out soon.

What do you guys think? Should I take the plunge or wait longer to see if I can get a better deal?

If I were going to pay that much I would look for a car with lower mileage. I think you can find a better deal from a private individual. Remember, that dealer has to make money on the deal.

Walk in with a cashier's check for 122 and wave it in their face, it can't hurt to try.

Good point, because banks are not lending money anymore. The dealer is counting on you acting like the rest of us, you know, can't wait and just buy it syndrome.

I have felt since the beginning that the GT3 is not a car to LOSE because of a couple grand. Your dealer is right in my opinion because he can probably ship it out here and make MORE money. 7K miles is really not much. PLUS your getting a wonderful unique color that looks GREAT on a GT3. Dont screw around with one of the best cars ever to inhabit our planet for 1% of the purchase price. Like I said out here they are still going for over and if that car was out here it would be a hot commodity.
Dont risk the regrets your going to have if you miss out.
Really a GT3 is not the car to walk out of the dealer thinking OH YEA I got HIM!!!!
You should go out of the dealer with one of biggest SH*T eating Grins EVER! because you now own one THE greatest car EVER!!!!!

If the car has no over revs etc. the mileage doesn't matter.

I would buy it, but given your doubts go check out the MB Black Series; a better buy at current prices, and more user friendly on a daily basis (the current steal of the century).

The dealers price for the GT3 is fair

Deal or no deal, I will be picking up the car on Monday. I'll most likely have a performance shop (AtSpeed in Maryland) retrofit rear seats/belts for my toddler.

I'll let you guys know soon. Again, thanks for all your help!

I personally feel much better making a good deal. When I pay too much or worse yet, get screwed, it seems to ruin it for me.

GL with the search.

Btw, The passenger side airbag turn off when you have a child in the front. I take my 5 year old to pre school/etc all the time in the passenger seat. No worries. He just wishes he could see more out the window.

To all who have contributed to this tread, thank you. I just picked up the Slate Grey GT3 with PCCB. I love the rawness of the car.

I hope I won't get bit by the mod bug like I did with my M3. It's such an involving car as it is.

The car will go back into the dealership for full detail and clear bra. Once it is picture worthy, I'll get them up

Thank you all.
