The F1 shifter blows chow!!!
Are you basing that on hear-say or first hand experience?

No, not only does the F1 shifter now blow chow, it can launch better than any 6speed anyday and without stalling.
Even the pro's have trouble launching the CGT on flat ground.
Don't even bother on a hill.

They could've designed the CGT to GT2 5 mph bumper standard.
Is that too much to ask?
Is the inconvenience of requiring the customer to ship the car back to germany and stop production to fix a bumpity-bump reasonable? We're not talking about a major rear-end collision here, aren't we?

I have a better solution. All CGT's should have big bold letters on the bumper that says "Stay back and wait. I may stall."

who said this was 5 mph or less? who said that CGT's are exempt from US safety standards? Maybe both R true, but I have not seen that info.

What do we know about the truck bumper and how it hit to CGT?

I, for one, would have no problem double, nay triple clutching a CGT on flat or curved ground

(although I have the very same sign you suggest on the back of my MB... and it's an automatic !)

True, true. I'm just making it up for argument sake. No one said it wasn't the case either

I think the actual incidence involved a drunken trucker that slammed into the CGT at 45mph. Hence the 125k damage.
Yea, that must be it.

I'd have no problem doing 8k rpm launches at every stoplight to make sure it doesn't stall too
Or would it?

In that case, I think the money is to offset the cost of halting the production line
Nice modular design.

Tell you what, you file bankruptcy, and let me know if it gets expunged in 5 years.

You guys are too funny.

Considering I ran a mortgage company, I think I would know how long a bankruptcy lasts.

10 years is max, and that's exactly how long it will be on your bureau record.

Where is the discord in understanding here?
