Posted on Rennlist forum this morning by Thorttlesteerer..apparently reported in the German mag Sport & Auto .
Have we seen the end of the dry sump engine?........

I have also heard that there will be no dry sump for the GT3.

Just because they're using a modified version of the 997S motor doesn't mean it's a wet sump. It could be a dry sump version of the new motor...

Hey, maybe it will be 4.0 L....but I agree, until proven otherwise it is sad that it is not gt1 based.
