New stable mate for the GT3 - a GTR
Aw come on...there's more than that. I personally don't like very many cars in red, but the GTR in red is pretty damn good looking (for a GTR). The white it comes in is also nice if you are going for the JDM look.
Edit: Congrats on the purchase as well.

simplistic blanket statement...
a 95 hp '76 924 is also a Porsche, still take it over a GTR?

wow what a brilliant comment you made! christian meant that porsche is and has always been a reference to other sports cars.. you obviously cannot compare a 76 porsche to an 08 gtr. why do you think the gtr is rated at 480hp? that is to match the turbo's rating but we all know it has at least 530hp. Nissan is trying to show the world that they have a faster car with the same horsepower.. bottom line the nissan is great but has no soul
WOW I have bad mouthed the looks of this car but yours Peter is a very nice machine.
I would caution you though about which one to get rid of. In your garage is probably the last GT car that has the 98 GT1 derived motor. It wont be around again. Its a keeper not only for its outstanding performance but also for its historical value to come

never said anything about the HP rating of the nissan, why would anybody (especially an owner) be upset if it actually made more horsepower than advertised? Also, have you driven a GTR? i haven't so I don't make any statements about the lack of "soul", whatever that is. Porsche is not the only reference point for performance cars, and the GTR is certainly a valid one especially in terms of value, and real world performance.
oh yeah, my comment may not be "brilliant" but 1 word of advice for ya... don't include any of your posts on the essay portion of your MENSA application.

Thanks for the comments guys.
to sum it up.
GTR make a better DD, and the GT3 is way more fun to drive.
In a perfect world, the GTR would be my dd and GT3 my weekend and track warrior

And isn't that the point of owning sports cars, being fun to drive?
Nice write up.
