You're probably right. Just move on because it's not worth your time.

I only had to wait 1 year for 100 miles. It was only 7 miles during the first year.

definitely get AAA. you get your $ worth just by getting tour books and maps. well, i am low tech, still on paper maps LOL.

my cayman s was towed from TH to walnut creek. 130 miles. only had to pay 30 miles.

I agree that you should get AAA, it's great.

But I myself and several people I know go to the track several times a year to spectate when we arent driving. So if you are at an event spectating, and your car has a problem, they wont cover it????? Sounds like you should be ripping someone IMO.

Unfortunately, into the tire barrier on the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca. AAA towed from the parking lot to Redwood City (DEVEK, at the time). They flatbedded me all the way, no add'l charge. I don't know about the three year "waiting" period mentioned above, but AAA Plus provides 100 mile limit.

Doesn't surprise me that the RA doesn't cover this. Most any insurance nowadays, except specialized track insurance, does not cover anything relative to tracks.

they will cover you if you were just a spectator (who has a breakdown in the parking lot anyways?). my mistake was admitting that the car was on the track.

porsche has been very good so far as far as warranty coverage when things break at the track. but there seems to be a disconnect between them and RA.

i've just signed up for AAA. thanks everyone for the tip. i didn't see anything there that can go directly to AAA+ status. only entry level status which basically covers only the 1st 5 miles! i'll just take it fwiw and then maybe in a year i get bumped to AAA+ status.

Out of principal I'd call my CC company and dispute the charge and tell them the whole story - you have RA on your new Porsche, it had a problem, they said "no charge to the nearest dealer", you agreed, and they charged. Open and shut. I hate just sucking up on anything and figure if we all did that, the world would be chaos
