The earliest I heard was 2010. That means nothing of course but I havent seen anyone
saying there is a GT3 for 09 much less an RS.

My dealer said one year after new GT3's are introduced. Probably will be 2010. Dealers are taking deposit for waiting list.

I just got off the phone with the dealer. I am now #6 on the list. They are a pretty high volume dealer so I should be OK. The way that the financial market is panning out, 1 or 2 are bound to drop off the list!

I has #1 for a 997RS in '07 and I turned it down when asked to spec the car. Stupid.

Why would Porsche release a 2009 GT3 RS? Makes no sense. New model in 2010-11. New homolgation. New RS in maybe 2012?

Sorry....I was not clear in my last post....the deposit is on a '10 or '11 model year, whichever comes first.

If you get one, is the dealership asking msrp or is there a markup?

If that's true, see if you can get that in writing.

I always get that in writing. I also agree that I won't flip it. I have had several cars that I could have flipped, but I ended up keeping them. I just want the car to drive.

I was #1 for a RS in '07. The dealer called me to see how I wanted it built. I was way out of the loop (middle of a cross country move, etc) and I said that "I'll pass and get one next year." They ended the conversation so fast..I am sure that they were jumping for joy! I'll hope for the next 3 years that they make another.

Yea get your pro foruma contract and get it in writing and you shouldnt have a hard time getting MSRP or lower given the economic situations coming up.
