This is kind of a retarded engineering exercise... Why not just do a GT2 buildup instead? I can appreciate the work that went into this, but they basically ruined an amazing limited production car, and spent a small fortune to do it.

I am sometimes surprised by posts like this. People with that much money want something nobody else has. Exactly the reason. In a couple of years, there will be plenty of built gt2's. Not saying I agree, but sure is a bad *** car.

I guess my point is that it probably won't be as good as a GT2 and will most likely be far less reliable. Just doesn't make sense to me. The RS is a beautiful car and was setup to be NA. To each his own the but money spent to get that point probably could have been put to much better use. Like a down payment on a GT2 This is the equivalent of taking a GT2, ripping the turbos off and raising the compression.... Why do that when you can just get an RS?

You are correct. I was at Farnbacher-Loles on Friday and there were THREE new GT2's there getting upgrades. That may be the ultimate street legal Porsche.

Even if you have a built GT2, it's far from common.

Oh so true! I am modifying mine now and in the future. HP increases are now coming in smaller increments and in greater cost.

It always amazes me when people criticize projects like this. It's what they wanted to do, it's their money- why not enjoy the results instead of picking it apart?

"They should have done this."
"They should have done that."

Give me a break. Enjoy the car for what it is for the love of god.

In order to make that kind of power out of that motor, compression would have to be lowered.

I posted a link to the build sheet above. It's a pretty beefy 4.0L motor.
