no disrespect to you joeacc. you car is awesome
if i had access to a 996gt3 which was already totaled, i would of done the same thing as you. also yours was built for your own pleasure not to be built and then sold to fool others as being a 7rs.
my point about the 996gt3 turn 997gt3 is mainly about the RS badging. if wicked motors were to sell this as a 997 gt3 look a like thats fine. adding the RS fenders, rockers, rear bumpers would also be a plus. but badging it as a RS when its not.. thats where i draw the poser line.
i know this first hand as i converted my us spec m3 to look like a CSL. but i NEVER put the CSL badge on the back of the car.

These guys get bashed a lot here but they make it clear in the add that it's not an RS, I don't know if that's how they act in person to less knowledgable clients, but the add says it clear as day. It also clearly says salvage title.
I think it looks like a great rebuild and that a lot of quality work went into making that car the way it is. I'm not one to complain about what people put on their cars in terms of graphics etc. so that doesn't bother me.
Finally as with any car, it's only worth what someone will pay for it and obviously these guys are selling cars if they can put all this money into salvaged cars. As long as they are making money and being up front about what their selling then more power to them.
In my opinion, if you can't tell the difference between a 996 and 997 and a GT3 and RS you should buy something else anyways. If they were trying to fool people it would be one thing, but one look over by an enthusiast and you already know it's not a real RS. Just like you know a poser 540 from a M5 or a poser Boxster from a CGT (HAHAHAHA).

Wicked does great work. They do tend to use language that would appear to "oversell" the work which unfortunately lessens the value of their representations. There are a lot of people who now are "famous" for doing what Wicked does. They will mature even more if they stay with the program, and eventually become well liked for their designs. Consider "Big Daddy" Roth of American Muscle Car stardom? There was no one that he couldn't offend with his designs and now you can't touch anything he built.
