Why has the 997.2 GT3 facelift no PDK like the carrera facelift? that sucks. they has should offer it as an option in the GT3 facelift!!!

2 short questions.

- will the 997 turbo facelift get PDK for sure?

- will the 997 GT2 facelift get PDK ?

 

The PDK is certainly a marvel. I would love to see it in the Turbo. The old school in me, is fine w/o it in GT3.
Although a GT3 with PDK would sure quicken my times. That sport chrono plus button is fantastic.

 

from the 996 GT2 was a facelift. so will be there a 997 GT2 facelift too? i think so. because the turbo facelift will get 500 PS and the Turbo S maybe 520 PS. so the currently GT2 has 530 PS and a GT2 facelift is a must to get away with more horsepower from the Turbo S.

but, will the 997 GT2 facelift get PDK also?

Yeah, there will likely be another 997 GT2 as was the 996, especially if the 997 TT faclift is faster around the ring like the rumors say.

 

iam really horny about the new 997 GT2 facelift!!!

 

Right now dealers are starting to lean towards no 2010 Turbos (at least early '10), with the way sales are.

I'll shed a tear if/when I see a PDK GT3.

 

The global economy is not going to last forever. With the refresh of the GT3 and the TT facelift coming I can assure you the 998 (991) is not coming anytime soon, and the GT2 update will approximately 2 model years before the 991 base model is released.

Not wishful thinking, just using past history to reflect future results. And the economy will not affect that. Porsche will fight to remain competitive in the supercar battle, and since there is no CGT2 on the horizon, that will go into the GT2.

That is what I think will happen. The economy doesn't mean that faster cars will cease to come out. Especially when the majority of developement has been done already. Suspension tweaks, weight reduction, and power increase is all it will take and is not expensive to do.

I'd bet a 997.2 GT3 RS isn't out of the question either. We will get one or the other. More than likely the GT2.

 

I really hope they don't offer a PDK GT3! It would be terrible, but then again I'm not a fan of PDK any way.

PDK is amazing, and fits nicely in a Carrera/TT.
But leave it out of the GT cars!

 

second that. Porsche is the last dinosaur to fold. BMW now offers the M's with auto's. MB doesn't even offer a manual on the AMG's.

Fingers crossed that when I get a GT3 I don't have to specify a transmission.

So sick of people crying for PDK in everything. I'd take a REAL sequential in the RS. Now THAT would be awesome. But the electro doo dad transmissions can stay far away from the GT3 as far as I'm concerned.

i for one will not replace my 7.1gt3 with a new one unless there is a pdk offered at least as an option. i dont get this site being so against it. would someone here pass on a formula 1 car ride b/c it has paddles? its just the march of technology.
