My major concern is the ground clearance/front end issues. What has been your experience?

It sounds like it gets even more attention than you are used to in your F cars
Mike, Alex's comments regarding attention have caused me to rethink buying the CGT. However I will wait a year and decide. By that time the CGT should be selling for 1/3 less than MSRP and I may be bored with my F430 (I will take delivery in the first quarter of 2005).

More than likely I would be able to exchange my used F430 for a used CGT even up.

On normal roads it's fine. It doesn't like neighborhood speed bumps and there is one driveway in particular ( a friend of my son) where the driveway exit is uphill to a cambered roadway, where the bottom touches down for a brief moment.
I don't fuss about front spoiler scrapes and the like because those are easy fixes. I am planning on doing the 3M invisible bra stuff especially in the front below the lights and on the side strakes where the front tires kick up all sort of crud.
