Color question...

I saw a Carrera S yesterday that was a very dark blue. From a distance...looks black. Pull up next to the car at a light...it's definitely blue, but a very dark blue.

2 questions...

1) What is the name of the color?

2) Paint looked very smooth...anyone have experience maintaining this paint color? Seemed so close to black that you would figure it would be similar to black in terms of showing imperfections, but this one looked great.

Thanks!!!

Might of been atlas grey. If it looked like the color below it is atlas grey. This is OC Pcar's, a member on this forum:

Thanks!

It's a little tough to tell from pictures...but that looks like it might be the one...

Anyone have any experience with maintaining this paint? Is it a bear like black?

sws1...thanks. I think you may be right. The atlas greg looks pretty close, but come to think of it, the paint wasn't metallic (which I am thinking atlas grey is). It the midnight blue metallic?

Also...still looking to hear how it is to maintain the paint. Any thoughts? Since you moved to artic or GT...guessing it may not have been easy...

Midnight Blue Metallic

As for maintaining the paint, I suggest autopia.org. It's a whole art into itself.
