I had a 996Tubo back in 01 and sold it after about 4 months -- didn't care for it much. Definitely like a Caddy compared to the GT3 which I love. Not sure why you'd say if you don't like the Turbo you won't like the GT3 unless that was a typo -- very different feel to the cars as I'm sure you know.

why not just swap turbos and get one with the regular brakes? seems like the simplest solution

Hi Shaikh,

as mentioned above, try the bedding in procedure on a clear or private road. That might cure the squeal from your brakes.

If that does not work then maybe consider some aftermarket brakes, might be an expensive option if they too squeal !.

After that add some engine and suspension mods then your good to go !.

Must get up to the Musandam sometime, i hear its a great drive.

Rgds.

The GT3 is a brilliant handling car, but very noisy compared to a turbo. Even my red-callipered brakes squeel occassionally when they are still cold. I would do whatever I could to resolve the brake issues on your TT. If you don't like the car altogether, that's different.

I always have the same advice. Go drive one, then you'll know. They are crisp and loud our GT3s!

Let us know what you decide!
