I've owned and would recommend Kinesis or Fikse wheels.

I also just picked up a set of BBS wheels (RE794, RE795 -- the magnesium wheels used in Porsche Cup), which are really nice and light, but are a bit pricey.

Curt, I just stopped by Speedware today and saw your GT3 with the new BBS wheels on them. Very nice. I guess you are now selling your K58s? I would buy them, but they don't fit my Turbo. -Ray

Here's a picture from the garage last night (not a great photo, obviously):

Sure!

From an email during my research into the wheels: "The BBS race wheels are 18x9 front, approx. 17 lbs, 50 offset; the rear is 18x11, approx. 18 lbs, 59.5 offset."

The guys at Speedware weighed the wheels and they said they were 16 lbs front, 17.55 lbs rear. Not sure of the accuracy of the scale used. When I picked them up with the cup tyres mounted they seemed amazingly light.

I've got 5mm spacers on the front to make the spacing math work out. I had 7mm H&R spacers machined to 5mm. Also, I'm using steel race studs and lug nuts.

Another piece of the spec is -- gulp, the price -- $US 8k.

And re: Ray's comment earlier, the K58's are for sale.

Can't wait for another track day, but the track season here in the Seattle area is mostly over. Oh, well.
