Don't get cheap with the pictures now! Keep them coming. Didn't Topgear do an episode on Davos and say it was the best road in the world?

Thank you gents for all your enthusiastic comments!

Yes, the Stelvio Pass was driven on Top Gear as the best road..... it's certainly in my top five!!!!!

On a serious note we were nearly mugged and relieved of some considerable money by what I can only call these "locals" masquerading as mechanics. Please take care if you venture to Eastern Europe..........

Track was just the business, very relaxed, very grown up attitude to the whole day......... could overtake or undertake, through corners and straights.... as long as you were sensible and respected the other drivers line.

Hey Buttons,

That looks like just one fun filled day after another. How does driving at the Hungaroring work? Do you just pull up and by an entry ticket like at the nurburgring?

It's gotta be one of life's highlights burning up some the world's most famous tracks!!

Good Luck

Hi Aboy.GT2,

The Hungaroring surely was one of the best tracks I've driven and I've done a few.
This was a organized RMA Track day, so 30 or so cars, instructor Scott Mansell and a day of fun and sunshine. By 3.30 to 4pm only a handful of us cars left and we had some good safe but very relaxed fun. Great day, RMA do the job well. They're not to in your face but keep a close eye on everyone and just let you get on with it....... open pit lane as well so just one of the best days racing oh I mean tracking I've ever had.

Looking forward to July 12th The 'Ring private day 1.30pm to 7.30pm about 50+ cars. On a track that long it's going to be like we've each got it all to ourselves. Should be great day German GP running on the GP Circuit (tail) and at 1.30 us on the Nordschleife, still lots of room on probably what's going to be the track day of the year

Wow!! I'm jealous.
My wife is German and I am there every year but up north in Bremen. We do not get down south much past Frankfurt. I usually rent a Carrera S from Avis in Frankfurt for the drive to Bremen.
I hope to one day make it to the Ring and drive that rental like I stole it!

Have fun on the 12th and make sure to post some pix. (Maybe Kimi or Lewis will be on the podium by then)

Did you know Michelin are bring out a "new" MPSC tyre at the end of the summer called MPSC version II especially for the new 2010 model.

MPSC don't last long but once there has been a couple of heat cycles run through them I just love them JMHO.

We had, snow, as you can see, torrential rain for best part of three days and 4 days of heat.

Even at the Hungaroring, Scott Mansell, the instructor commented on how fantastically well the car handled on the track and the grip was "like s**t to a blanket" please excuse the words. It's a stock car no mods, I find they are very grippy and very progressive.
I like the MPSC in the dry, but in the wet I find them a little scary. I find the Yokohama 048's are a better wet dry mix, but they don't make them in 19's.
